Perhaps the most famous Hawkmoth is Xanthopan morganii praedicta, who was predicted to exist by Charles Darwin and Alfred Wallace to pollinate the Madagascar orchid. This Hawkmoth is unique because the eye spots on its wings are made with natural geodes. The milky swirls of the geodes are mesmerizing in the light.
